There are many festivals along the Central
Florida Coast – and why not!? With our gorgeous weather almost year-round, it
is fun and fulfilling to go to art or food festival with friends and family.
Hear, smell, see, and taste things that are new and exciting. Whether you are
visiting, relocating, or local – stay around long enough and there will be a
festival for you!
One such fun event is the Halifax Oyster Festival on April 25 and 26. Whether you like your
oysters raw, steamed, or in specialty oyster dishes, a good time will be had by
all. In addition to oysters, oysters and more oysters, you'll find some great
local cuisine in "Restaurant Row”. Moreover, with the purchase of your
ticket, you will receive a $5 coupon to use at participating restaurants.
Proceeds from this event go to helping local
oyster bed restoration efforts – Help Our Florida Environment! - a great reason
to come and enjoy two beautiful days filled with good food, live music, cold
beverages and even colder beer!
But it doesn’t stop there. The weekend will be
filled with live music on two stages. There will be two seating pavilions, an
interactive KID ZONE with petting tank, though I’m not sure what they will be
petting. Manatees, probably.
