Tis The Season!

Fun Events up and down The Coast

Undeniably, the holiday season has crept up on us. Just today, when I heard a Christmas carol, I thought - too early!! But really, it's not. We have braved Thanksgiving and now it begins.


The holiday season is a happy one, regardless what you believe or celebrate. It does not have to be drudgery, and here are a few events that will help keep your spirits high! 


Christmas in the Park 
Tree Lighting Ceremony

Get into the holiday spirit  with a fun, enjoyable evening of seasonal music at the 2015 Christmas in the Park event. The music begins at 6:00 p.m. on the Kenneth W. Parker Amphitheater stage.


Port Orange Mayor Green and City Council members will be there for the official lighting of the City Center Complex trees, which is a beautiful sight to behold.


Saturday, December 05, 2015, 6:00 pm - Kenneth W. Parker Amphitheater, 2001 City Center Circle, Port Orange - Starts at 6PM.



38th Annual Port Orange - Christmas Parade


 The parade will consist of bands and floats centered around this year’s theme - “A Superhero Christmas.” The parade route starts at Nova Road and will run east on Dunlawton Avenue to Lafayette Street.

This traditional event is a must see!  The Christmas Parade is scheduled for Sunday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m. Location: Dunlawton Ave. east of Nova Road.

To reserve your participation in the parade, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 386-506-5851. Port Orange Government TV will tape delay the parade on Bright House Networks cable channel 498.
